The top ten longest time to patent grant for the week. CFPH, LLC clocks in number one with a relatively speedy 4,894 days from filing to issuance. The patent is titled “Methods and systems for managing and trading using a shared order book as internal exchange”.
The top ten shortest time to patent grant for the week was between 81 and 116 days. Well done to the teams!
Another solid week for blockchain patents granted with 17 new grants. Advanced New Technologies continues to build their portfolio with seven new issued patents this week. The Winklevoss brothers added a new patent related to stable coins. Akami getting into the blockchain arena with a new patent issued.
Another slow week with only 4 new Electric Vehicle patents.
Nine new LiDAR related patents issued this week. Aurora Innovations appears again for the second week in a row. Two new patents issued to Ouster ($OUST) who I added to my watchlist.
I am working on getting data separated by Auto Industry, Solar, Cyber, Cloud, Semiconductors, and Oil & Gas which should be finished for next week’s issue. I also have plans to add biotech and medical devices as well. Please let me know if there is data that you would like to see.

BillJCo v Apple in the Western District of Texas and BillJCo v Cisco & HP in the Eastern District of Texas filed on May 26, 2021.
Impinj, Inc. ($PI) v. NXP USA, Inc. in the Western District of Texas filed on May 25, 2021.
SITO Mobile R&D IP, LLC et al v. FuboTv, Inc. ($FUBO) filed in Delaware on May 24, 2021.
ParkerVision, Inc. ($PRKR) v. LG Electronics Inc. filed in the Western District of Texas filed on May 22, 2021.
KOSS Corporation ($KOSS) v. Plantronics, Inc., et. al. was transferred out of the Western District of Texas into the Northern District of California (where patent litigation goes to die).
