The top ten longest time to patent grant for the week. Inventor James Andrew Ohneck comes in number one with 6,724 days from filing to issuance. The patent is titled “Photobiostimulation device and method of using same ”.
The top ten shortest time to patent grant for the week was between 88 and 109 days. Well done to the teams!
A quiet week for blockchain patents granted with 10 new grants.
Another slow week with 11 new Electric Vehicle patents. The Ford and Toyota patents this week were pretty interesting.
Five new LiDAR related patents issued this week. UATC LLC should be Uber technologies which has really grown their portfolio.
Two COVID patents were issued this week including one from $GILD.

Arigna Technology Limited, which appears to be managed by Atlantic IP and funded by Magnetar Capital filed patent suits in the Eastern District of Texas on May 20, 2021 versus BMW, Daimler AG, GM, and Porsche.
Smith Micro $SMSI filed a Declaratory Judgment complaint in the Northern District of California versus AGIS Software Development LLC on May 17, 2021.
Apple’s $AAPL Declaratory Judgment action in the NDCA was transferred to the Western District of Texas in their patent dispute with KOSS Corp $KOSS, which involves five patents.
